Some objectives of the event include:
● Identify and validate research needs on gender and COVID-19, including from UN Women’s listening session and literature review, on vaccines and other thematic areas to supplement the research agenda-setting process
● Share emerging results on research priorities from the Asia Pacific region
● Discuss strategies to promote and support research implementation of the collaboratively set agenda in the region
● Serve as networking opportunity to link different actors within the region who work on or are interested to work on gender and COVID-19 research
● Engage wider cohort of participants from the Asia Pacific region in the research agenda-setting prioritization survey and initiative
